Resumen

High Speed Rail (HSR) often gives birth to the development of a business district around the central station where firms are expected to locate. The literature shows that the capacity to attract exogenous firms is very limited. The aim of this paper is to identify the extent to which HSR can contribute to the location and renewed dynamism for firms. In order to do this, we explore the results of two surveys conducted in 2008 and 2014 with businesses located near to the central station of Reims, a French intermediate city served by the East European High Speed Line since 2007.
