Resumen

The two most important elements of protestant worship are the Word teaching and the liturgic Lord?s supper. Furniture that serves these elements, substantially affects the shape, the forming and the arrangement of the church. The current research focuses on the Hungarian Calvinist church architecture of the period between the two World Wars, which has not discovered yet. In the church construction of the Central and Eastern European country aroundthe turn of the century, the question of the identi cation of Reformedchurch architecture was already formulated, but the truly expansive construction activity occurred in the interwar period, coinciding with the appearance and the spreading of the modernist style. According to our hypothesis, by analysing the buildings belonging to the mentioned period and area, a space forming typology can made with discovering the correspondence which shows thechanging of idea of Calvinist church space in a well-de ned timeperiod in the life of a Central and Eastern European country.
