Resumen
O artigo discute a intervenção do Banco Mundial nas políticas públicas para a educação básica, especialmente a partir dos anos 1990, nos países considerados periféricos, como o Brasil, em decorrência de exigências postas pelo capital em sua crise estrutural. A investigação partiu da análise da essência do fenômeno, mediante apreensão datotalidade, compreendida como a reconfiguração do Estado brasileiro e suas repercussões na educação, pesquisando as mudanças a partir das demandas apresentadas pelas reformas instituídas pelo MEC, sobre a atividade docente. A intervenção do Banco Mundial nas reformas da educação básica no Brasil, vem promovendo a reestruturação do trabalho docente, impondo novas exigências à sua atuação, em uma clara precarização e intensificação do trabalho docente.Palavras-chave: Banco Mundial, educação básica, trabalho docente.THE SETTING OF PUBLIC POLICIES FOR BASIC EDUCATION AND TEACHING WORK IN BRAZILAbstract: This article discusses the World Bank intervention in public policies for basic education,since the 1990s, especially in the considered peripheral countries such as Brazil, due to demands made by the capital in its structural crisis. The investigation was based on the analysis of the essence of the phenomenon, by seizing the whole, understood as the reconfiguration of the Brazilian state and its impact on education, researching the changes from the demands presentedby the reforms instituted by the MEC on the teaching activity. The World Bank intervention in the reform of basic education in Brazil has been promoting the restructuring of teachers 'work by imposing new requirements for its operations in a clear casualization and intensification of teachers' work.Key words: World Bank, basic education, teaching work.
